Interview: Zozu Edzech.

What is your greatest achievement?
Uffff! This is not an easy question. I think my greatest achievements are my big mistakes. This is hard to explain. Mistakes are the only way to find the truth.

How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it?
A world of strange and colourful images with abstract meanings. My work is a mix of different techniques: Pencils, brushes, photos, vectors, textures, brilliant colours, 3D objects, typography..... It is a constant investigation of ways and resources to find meanings and emotions.

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?
I'd advise myself to invent Facebook :P

When are you happiest?
When a big problem finds a solution, when a solution finds a little problem.

What is the worst job you have ever had?
When I worked as an operator in a big chain factory production. It was a very hard and boring job.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?
This is impossible, my life is very ordinary and quiet. However, there are a lot of films that tell us ordinary and quiet stories. Miranda July is the perfect actress for an ordinary awesome film about my life.

What is the greatest song of all time?
'Buen Día' by Los Planetas. This song is tells the story of a group of friends doing normal daily things.

What do you dislike most about popular culture?
The modern consumerism culture. It moves very quickly and is getting bigger than itself. I love this culture but it is becoming a big monster.

What is the greatest invention of all time?
Communication. We have some many kinds: languages, pictures, architecture, clothes, gestures, and facial expressions. It is the tool of our identity and world progress.

If you didn't do what you do what would you do?
I would work as a bike courier because i love fixies bikes and would ride it through the dark streets of cities.

Interview: Harikrishnan Panicker

What is you greatest achievement?
Working my way to a design school, working for MTV and being invited to design for the art cover edition of Rolling Stone India and branding AIGA Colorado's Skateboard art fundraiser - Bordo Bello event. However, doing three art shows in Denver with my partner Deepti Nair would be my greatest achievement so far, but I have a feeling the biggest is yet to come :)

How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it?
Graphic, zero gravity, fluid, monstrous, bold, young and happy, like a clown throwing up a rainbow!

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?
Draw more, be fearless, be wild, be free.
When are you happiest?
When I'm screen printing with my partner Deepti Nair, it's a spectacle... I'm really meticulous and she is destructive and super creative, the results are usually fabulous.

What is the worst job you have ever had?
I once did a short stint with an IT company, dullest one month of my life, beige walls, cliché motivational posters staring back at you, shoddy 14" screens, a formal dress code and no music!

Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Tough one, any Indian looking chap who can act goofy can fit the part, but Morgan Freeman is narrating for sure!

What is the greatest song of all time?
I don't particularly have a song that defines me, I'm pretty much a free spirt. I listen to any genre, everything and anything and for the past few years I have been listening to a lot of sufi music, it has something that speaks to me.

What do you dislike most about popular culture?
The pace, everything moves so fast. I think somewhere people have forgotten to be patient.

What is the greatest invention of all time?
Right now in this 104˚F Mid West Summer heat the Air Conditioner is the greatest invention of all time!! But otherwise it's the internet, I'm in awe of how it works and delivers so much in the click of a button.

If you didn't do what you do what you do what would you do?
Preparing to travel in space or traveling in a flea circus or I'd be a pachydermatologist (I really just really wanted to use that word)

Interview: Matthew Glasby

What is your greatest achievement?
Seeing my first piece of work for sale in a gallery.

How would you describe your work to someone who hadn't seen it?
Bold, simple and (sometimes) a little creepy.

What one piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?
Draw, draw, draw and then draw a little more. Also don't start drinking coffee.

When are you happiest?
The moment just after I have been totally consumed by a drawing and I take a step back, look at the page and there is something that looks good on it.

What is the worst job you have ever had?
Definitely pot washing in a little pub in York. Cleaning huge pans of congealed gravy with pigs trotters welded to the bottom was pretty grim!

Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Zach Galifianakis - one day I will have a beard like his...

What is the greatest song of all time?
There is never a time when I would skip 'Son of a Preacher Man' or 'California Dreamin'

What do you dislike most about popular culture?
The majority of popular music! Also the fact is an audience for shows like The Only Way is Essex and Made in Chelsea.

What is the greatest invention of all time?
That would be the Interweb.

If you didn't do what do, what would you do?
Either make things out of wood or live with grizzly Bears, maybe both....

Interview: Katie Daugherty

What is your greatest achievement?
Nothing huge comes to mind. Maybe that early last year I finally figured out illustration has nothing ti do with being able to draw. But, people embracing my work lately has bee pretty cool too.

How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it?
Simple, graphic shapes with lots of bright colours and textures.

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?
Start drawing now, it will make your life much easier in the future.

When are you happiest?
When I'm watching cute animal videos.

What is the worst job you have ever had?
I haven't had any terrible jobs, but I did hate pushing credit cards working retail one summer.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?
Hopefully it would be a live action animal movie and I would be played by a cat.... but really anything that could handle laying in bed watching Netflix could do the job.

What is the greatest song of all time?
Umm, sometimes I listen to Mykonos by Fleet Foxes on Loop.

What do you dislike most about popular culture?
Ke$ha

What is the greatest invention of all time?
Candy

If you didn't do what you do, what would you do?
I've been thinking about this a lot recently and I have no idea.... maybe something in fashion.
