How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it?
Colour, shapes, limbs, and people.

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?
Don't worry about not getting on to the A-level art course.

When are you happiest?
Work-wise, when an idea comes together and looks like it might work out.

What is the worst job you have had?
Burger King for a month.

Who would play you in the movie of your life? 
Probably Colin Firth. Yeah, definitely Colin Firth.

What is your karaoke song?
Strangers - The Kinks, Rocky Raccoon - The Beatles.

What 5 things can't you live without?
Air, food, water, sunshine and pants.

What is the greatest invention of all time? 

The paperclip. Everyone knows that!

If you didn't do what you do, what would you do?

Before Uni it was either music or illustration, so I would have possibly taken music further. Or I'd like to be a Graphic Designer, but I still get to dabble in that every now and then.

What is your greatest achievement?

Picking up the pieces of a destroyed life and rebuilding another one with an amazing woman to raise an incredible little boy. 

How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it? 

I wouldn't , I usually tell them to just google image search my name on their phone . that way I don't ruin it for them.

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self ? 

Don't smoke cigarettes. 

 

When are you happiest?

Feeding ducks.

What is the worst job you have had?

Any of the outside-in-wintertime ones.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Tilda Swinton. 

What is your karaoke song ? 

I don't really do that but a song I sing all the time around the house? my son's favorite song tight now is Scenario by Tribe Called Quest, we sing that a lot.

What 5 things can't you live without ?

Coffee , jokes , books, music , wood .

What is the greatest invention of all time?

The electric guitar.

If you didn't do what you do, what would you do?

That's terrifying to me, I have no idea, honestly, dig holes maybe, fill in holes

What is your greatest achievement?

So far it's making pictures every day and getting paid to do so. But it would be nice to think that my greatest achievement hasn't happened yet...

How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it?

Hand-drawn, textured and colourful with a nod to mid-century stylings. Oh and anal....I'm obsessed with clean lines, shapes and alignment. Part of my graphic design background I'll never escape.

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?

Don't worry so much... it all turns out ok.

When are you happiest?

When the sun is shining, when I'm eating (particularly my fiancé's macaroni cheese), and when I'm finding a good second-hand bargain.

What is the worst job you have had?

Working in a fancy dress shop at 16. Sounds fun on paper, but I was convinced it was haunted. With hindsight I'd probably just watched The Sixth Sense too many times.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Audrey Tautou, then I could finally live my dream of being her...even though technically she would be being me.

 

What is your karaoke song?

I've only done karaoke once. It was a duet of Never Ever by All Saints, complete with rap intro.

What 5 things can't you live without?

The people I love, Chocolate, Pencils, Paper, Sunshine

What is the greatest invention of all time?

Paper

If you didn't do what you do, what would you do?

This changed so much growing up, depending on what I was into. My most serious options included a Vet, a Palaeontologist (working specifically in Jurassic Park) and member of a SWAT team.... so probably one of those.

What is your greatest achievement?

I wasn't there at the time but allegedly Jarvis Cocker bought one of my animal heads at the end of the road estival one year. I was very excited.

How would you describe your work/style to someone who hadn't seen it?

I think people would describe my work as charming and a bit strange. I make Paper mache trophy heads and draw silly drawings. I use as much as possible found and recycled materials as i believe we all need to consume and buy less.

What piece of advice would you give your 15 year old self?

Something always turns up. Be brave.

When are you happiest?

Seeing Bands that i love, bonfire night in Lewes, when my boy wakes up from sleep all peachy.

What is the worst job you have had?

Scrubbing the grouting between floor tiles with a toothbrush for £1.75 an hour.

Charlotte Gainsbourg

What is your karaoke song?

The boy with the arab strap, Belle and Sebastian. ( with recorder solo)

What 5 things can't you live without?

My Family, tea, electric blanket, vegetables, Music.

What is the greatest invention of all time?

Electric blanket.

If you didn't do what you do, what would you do?

A zoo keeper - maybe breeding endangered species and releasing them back to the wild. Realistically I would be still be a terrible waitress or a shop assistant.
