Pantone

I know i have been a bit Pantone overload of late but I promise this is the last post. I just love love love these products and think they are so different from anything else we have done. As a design lead company we want to produce products that are diverse and fresh. We purposely choose ranges that are completely different from any we have done before. We would like to be known for having great ranges and designer collaborations rather than a 'style'. Last couple of photos.......I PROMISE...

Featured!! Fred Butler Style....

So... As I think I have previously mentioned I used to intern for Fred Butler while I was a product design student in London. While working for her it became very apparent that she was a colour fanatic. I think I worked it out on the first day her being dressed head to toe in orange, but not just in one colour but the exact same shade, quite a feat! Anyway I knew she would like the Panonte range and I was only bloody right! Check her blog here she does some quite brilliant things, thanks Fred x

Move on up...

As you may have noticed our website/shop has been changing over the last couple of weeks. As a company 1973 is not afraid of change and welcomes constructive comments. We have been listening to our customers and are actively trying to make positive changes to the way things here look and work.  Our title page has had an injection of zing with the help of more imagery.

We have also re-evaluated our online service in order to give our customers the best. One of these small but mighty changes is that we have changed how we charge for UK postage, it will now be calculated by weight. Little changes like this we hope will continually keep us evolving and improving.

And on top of that Emma gave me a Tunnocks Tea Cake!!! (other brands available) could today get any better? High fives all round.

Screen printing..

Emma has now got her screen printer set up in her studio. Yesterday was her first opportunity to have a go. Here Emma is practising with the tiger image from the 1973 range Wild Side.

If you remember we have some limited edition screen prints from Darling Clementine, Jon Burgerman and Belle & Boo on our website. These have been selling really well so we are very excited about the prospect of adding to this range with more designs!!

Sanna Annukka.. Featured.. British Vogue September issue..

Sanna Annukka has been featured in the September issue of British Vogue. The piece is about Fashion's Night Out which is an event that takes place on the 8th of September which is basically a shopping celebration that takes place all over the world. Last year it took place in thirteen different countries around the world including London, Paris, New York, Milan, Berlin, Tokyo and many more. It is basically an event championed by Vogue to encourage shoppers to visit stores, meet designers and buy loads of stuff (like we need help in this department?)

This years London event has been launched with a Tee and canvas bag adorned by a great graphic by our friend Sanna Annukka! The graphic features the London Skyline and includes some of the most iconic landmarks of our capital city. We think they look great and are very excited to get our mitts on both items.

For full information on the event simply log on to www.fashions-night-out.vogue.co.uk
