1973 Loves....Kings Framers

Kings Framers is a stockist of ours in Lewes, its a beautiful shop with choice products and lovely staff. The owner Peta has a great eye for buying and merchandising and we thought her window looked rather good. Her festive display takes a more contemporary approach than most and of course we love the copious amount of 1973 products on show.

If you HATE wrapping...

you should have a look at our Pantone Gift bags. These little beauties could save you time and face as the festive season approaches. Perfect for that odd shaped present that you just can't get a neat ribbon around. Modelled here by my favourite 1973 team member Bo-Lily.....

Because I can.....

This came on my itunes last night. I miss going to Work It. Stevie V was no fool.

1973 Loves..... Niki Pilkington.

Ravensbourne graduate Niki is an incredible talent. Her style of illustration is instantly recognisable amongst a sea of copy cats. Niki's main plan of attack is simple yet beautiful depictions of her subjects, however, they feel less portrait more image. Portrait artists are ten a penny, Niki has something very unique. Her use of inks and 3D mixed media make her work fresh and very current. She exhibits in all the right places including 'WAH nails' which is the Dalston go to for the east London Fashion set. She has commissions with all the right clients including Elle Magazine. We're of the opinion that this is the very start of what will prove to be an extraordinary career. The Artist herself..

quick thank you to Niki for the info and also the use of all the images above.

Jeeze maybe it is!!!! no more....nice.......NICE

1973 Loves...... Chris Cunningham ♡

This is a completely selfish post but I am wildly excited as I just got tickets for the fellas Christmas to go and see Chris Cunningham at the Roundhouse in London in February. Cunningham is an English video maker who was best known for his work with Warp Records more so with Warp artist Aphex Twin, Madonna and Bjork. His 'All is full of Love' video won loads of awards and was even nominated for a grammy....nice. He has been labeled 'the master of dark and disturbing'

He also has some incredible advertising campaigns under his belt, including his collaboration with Gucci (predictably my favourite) which sampled Donna Summer's 'I Feel Love' and stared model of the moment Abbey Lee. It'a about as iconic as a modern fragrance advert gets if you haven't seen it look....

anyway now he does a live show.... and i'm going......and it's going to be nang......

Spotted!!! The Apprentice

Emma and her eagle eyes spotted our wrap on Episode 4 of this years The Apprentice. DV8 is one of our stockists in Soho and if you look to the left of the gentleman's shoulder you will be able to spot the wrap we co-designed with Airside. The rehab wrap, which uses Amy Winehouse lyrics is the white one in the middle!

In my opinion my friend Cassetteboy's video is the best thing to ever happen to The Apprentice, other than our wrap that is! 2 million others think so too......

1973 Loves.....Boy George + Mark Ronson

We love love love this. I am a massive fan of Boy George, his bitchy silver tongued style of writing has me in stitches. Read his books they are well funny.

Featured!!! Design Sponge...

Design Sponge did a feature using our Sukie Alphabet Wrap. It shows how to turn a sheet  into a alphabet/number learning aid for kids. See the full post here
